Nataka Books Review: Hungry Tide by Ghosh

Students of history would be far better off by beginning the study of South East Asian history, specifically, Bengali, by reading this account by Ghosh which captures the mangroves landscape, fishing villages, competition for resources and the general beat of life which is far more interesting before it leaves behind a trail of stories that can be collected and called a history ! Introduced me to Amitav and now read anything by him since.
